This project is an addition to an existing Merrill Gardens building in the South Renton neighborhood. The roof deck amenity space is designed to accommodate several types of uses, including a firepit and lounge furniture, tenant gardening, and outdoor dining. Green roof, and raised planters with trees and shrubs help define the spaces. Lower levels include: a memory care patio with a large integrated planter, seating, and water feature; private patios; and a transitional care deck with a water feature, seating, and raised planters. At the ground level, new street trees and planting adjacent to the building improve the sidewalk and pedestrian experience.
