This project is a mixed used residential building with street level commercial space in the vibrant Capitol Hill neighborhood. The site is located adjacent to McGilvra Place park and near the Bullitt Center building, and has a slope, giving it almost 20 feet of elevation change from one end to the other. The large roofdeck features several different spaces, including an outdoor kitchen, and tenant gardening planters, all highlighted with raised planters, trees, and green roof. At the ground level, a lush courtyard space allows for private terraces as well as a communal path and central seating area. Along the east side, the private mews have a specialized paver pattern. The pedestrian entrance along E Pike street is highlighted by raised integrated planters to help navigate changing grade conditions. Along the retail spaces on E. Madison Street and 14th Avenue, special accent paving, bike racks, planting strips and new street trees create a welcoming pedestrian environment in an area with heavy vehicular traffic. This project has achieved LEED Platinum certification.
