This affordable housing development where St. Francis House used to sit provides a new space for St. Francis House, as well as residential units and amenity spaces above in partnership with Plymouth Housing. A residential courtyard area provides gathering space for the tenants, with string lighting, a “stage”, integrated tables and seating, a grill area, and gardening planters. The streetscape along Spruce Street features a double row of proposed street trees on both sides of the sidewalk, along with proposed shrubs and groundcover. Bike racks and seating elements in the right-of-way provide pedestrian amenities at the corner and by the main St. Francis House entrance.
